Taste and See—God’s Goodness in the Garden
by Ruth Schmeckpeper
This year’s garden has been a reminder of God’s faithfulness and abundance. While the beets didn’t do so well, the zucchini, celery, carrots, tomatoes, and grapes have flourished. I’ve enjoyed more than enough to eat—and plenty to share with others. The garden has become a living picture of God’s provision.
Taste and See—The Lord is Good
Psalm 34:8 reminds us: “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” Just as the fruits and vegetables from the soil nourish our bodies, God provides true nourishment for our souls. His goodness is steady. His provision is abundant. And when we turn to Him, He satisfies both our physical and spiritual hunger.
Friend, whether you’re harvesting from your own garden or simply savoring the sweetness of God’s blessings in everyday life, I encourage you to pause and give thanks. He is always the real deal.
